I think DD secured himself another contract extension. I think his little brush has him thinking differently. This was definately not the old Buick. I think he may have traded up.

Don't be so hard on the Pony fans we would be doing the same thing tonight had the score been the other way around.

DD & RF called a decent game tonight, IMO.

It's amazing what a Dual Threat QB can do for an offense.

What's really funny is one poster is calling for RF to become the new OC at SMU!!!!!

Well I thought the flea flicker play late in the 4th was a bad call. It seemed DD wanted to run all night, then when it came time to chew the clock he calls a trick play???

Good game for us, and according to some Pony fans, they were reasonably well treated pre- and post- game. So don't go over and be classless.

I was at the game right on the NT/SMU line....and I gotta say, it was tough looking at some of those Pony Alums. They'd gone to SMU in the 60's and 70's, when they ran the SWC.....and now they're getting their rears handed to them by NT.

Having said that, I hope someone hides all the bleach in UP. It might end up in the water supply.

Great win for us, tough loss for them. I feel like I just kicked an old guy in a wheelchair. Apt description of SMU.

With all due respect to a well called game today... this one OOC win should not secure a contract extension (as one game should not determine a coach being fired). Let's be excited today but let's see how the season goes.

I've not had a real problem with DD. It's Ramon that, even after this win, I think should have hopped on an empty seat on the SMU bus and went back with them.

Amen. Least we forget all of the OOC games NT has lost under Dickey. This win over SMU does not absolve DD from anything. Surely you won't be happy to beat SMU and then get schooled by Tulsa (again) and by Akron?

Its not like we are going to wake up one day and be beating everyone.

It's a good step in the right direction for Dickey and his staff. There were a lot of plays that I felt weren't the right calls ( the up-the-middle runs), but the gameplan won the game and I can't dispute that.

I want to see a win against Tulsa- with the team playing with that same intensity they brought to the field Saturday night. And if they don't win, I want Tulsa to limp and shuffle their way back to the locker room after fighting tooth-and-nail to win that game.
