MG 61....I have every one of those polls in a scrapbook. I guess we made the UPI poll the last 7-8 weeks of that season, as I recall.

The highest we got in that poll that year....was 13th.

It was also the time that Blakeley's team were tearing up old SWC teams.

A good time to be GREEN biggrin.gif

When Steve Ramsey was the NTSU QB there began a rivalry with SDSU. NTSU & SDSU's QB were two of the top QB's in the nation in passing yardage/stats. It was like almost every week there was some sort of update on the major channels about these two QB's. I can not remember the name of the SDSU QB.

The same type of rivalry was brewing, if you remember, between UNT and Holy Cross when we both D-1AA. We tried to set up a series of games but H.C. refused.

WTF?

We've never played Holy Cross in football. How was there a brewing rivalry between us and them?

I've never heard of this. Please explain, EE.
