I like the size and even if he doesn’t start it will be good depth on the OL. Hopefully everything comes together for him here. I haven’t watched any of his HS tape. It does appear they were going to move him to DL at one point, but then moved him back to OL. Sometimes  a change of scenery is needed. Welcome to Denton!

Exactly. He was LT2 his second season on campus. And Vaipulu from Georgia Tech was starting games as an underclassmen there. This isn’t Tommy Bush, Jace Ruder, John Davis, Jordan Rucker, etc.

These guys we got today were showing they belonged as college football players.

I found his junior highlights from high school. I see why Texas Tech went after him. He was great at securing the edge on running plays. There were several plays where he was able to cut off the DEs and the RB or QB was able to gain several yards. I also noticed him doing well chip blocking. He would get a piece of the DE and then run up field and block a LB. He did well pass blocking against the high school DL. I’m sure this has improved from his time at Tech.

      A few HSO's

      I was kind of hoping this HSO thread would help me get over the hump and renew the two season tickets I’ve had since the days of dirt at Fouts Field and the old cement urinals there. Unfortunately I, probably like some others, can’t seem to generate any old fashioned enthusiasm for the new version of “ here today gone tomorrow, pass through jocks . Somehow there just seems to be a missing piece; commitment, loyalty, alma mater. Yesterday’s discarded intangibles. Well, today is deadline day, can I break an old habit?

      For anyone who hasn't experienced the greatness of Hutchins, you should treat yourself the next time you are in either Frisco or McKinney. Some of the best brisket I've had (and other good stuff too). And... since UNT has expanded into Frisco, I guess we can claim Hutchins as a UNT BBQ place 😎

      There’s no contradiction. The average fan/alumni aren’t paying NIL, it’s the big donors and corporations. And they’re only doing it because that’s the way it is under the current, broken system. My 2nd point is that comparing college coaches with college players is neither a fair nor equal comparison.
