Vince Young returns to Texas as a "Special Assistant".  First, it is amazing that a man that recorded the lowest score ever on the Wonderlic Test and filed for bankruptcy after earning millions of dollars was hired as a "Career Development Officer".  He was fired from this position for the following:

The job later became part time, and Young was eventually dismissed for poor performance and often being absent from work or not in touch with his supervisors.

Now they are rehiring him.  So, you are fired for poor performance, not showing up and not reporting to your supervisors, yet you get hired again?

UT desperately trying to help a name alum.  Not sure what is going on in VY's head.  Hope he gets it together.

This is another way for schools with money to have "famous" alums around to mingle with boosters and recruits in an "official" way.  Not a lot different than when they added analyst and now the P5 big boys have 10-12. When you have the money you can bend the rules to your liking.
