UNT recruiting target series — Dailon Holmes

Not the bash the athlete, but he was saying all the wrong things in an interview with a universities beat writer. His wording made it very clear that he thinks that CUSA is a second tier athletic conference as is UNT. It sounds that he will jump at anything not named UNT, P5 or not. I hope he commits to us, but I would like to see him do it with a few other options on his plate.

Ben, cusa is a second tier conference, it always will be. UNT's program is as well, I love UNT and talk about it to anyone I can. But you need to get over yourself. This kid wants to find the best fit for him, if it's not UNT, then so be it. You sir need to get over yourself.

He quotes what a UTEP coach supposedly told him, and the above is your yake on this article? Reads to me that he really likes us, the program and the coaches, but wants to weigh his options.

Dude, sthu. This has nothing to do with me as an individual, but I won't sit by the way side like a b and let 17-50 year olds rip on UNT.

Now take your frustration out with a -1.

Not sure where he "ripped" on UNT, again sir, get off your high horse and just look at facts.

It is ok to be a second tier school and program, not every kid can be the big time stud immediately out of HS, Zach Orr, Brelan, Trice, Cyril, Craig, I can continue. All of these guys are in the league fighting for jobs with all of those "1st" tier guys. We have the potential to become the next Boise, but potential doesn't mean jack crap. You have to win on Saturdays, and do it often and consistent.

His comments sounded to me like an indirect backhand to UNT. I don't care enough about where this guy goes to "rant." I hope we get him because he's home grown, but I won't lose sleep over it.

To be the next Boise we have to recruit better and recruiting at a top level starts with keeping your HS guys home.

Boise recruited 2-3 star guys developed them and kicked the dog crap out of bigger programs bc they had grown men playing against 17 and 18 year old kids from schools like OU.
