Mickey could elect to play football as well. Was the starting QB at Prestonwood (@ 6-7) last year but decided to focus on hoops (after his injury). Transferred to Plano West prior to the season. Also have a younger brother playing both sports.

Switching topics but Plano West should be the clear 6-A favorite for the state basketball championship next year. The UIL denied the transfer of 5-Star 6-9 Tyler Davis to West this year for athletic reasons. Mitchell, Davis, Avery Johnson and one more kid all played AAU ball together and decided to all transfer to West. These guys along with DJ Hogg and Blue Chip RB Soso Jamabo, would be a good college team next year.

All these kids transfer to West because they played AAU together? Whatever happened to eligibility based on where you live. HS basketball is becoming as corrupt as AAU ball.

Back on topic, he could go to SMU and play for a school that places zero emphasis on defense...funny.
