“We haven’t gotten to the point where we’ve put dates to the 2012 football games,” WAC boss Karl Benson said,  “but that first Texas State-UT-San Antonio WAC game in 2012 might be pretty good.  It might be a game that ESPN would be very interested in.”

I'm a big fan of when supporters of other schools post on here, but this really has nothing to do with North Texas football. Also, I do not think that potential ESPN interest in a game two years away, between a current 1-AA school, and another that is yet to play their first down of football is so newsworthy that it transcends the fact that it has nothing to do with UNT...or our football team.

Nevertheless...I would not mind TSU-SM joining the Sun Belt.

Especially considering that ESPN has a WAC contract and airs one game a week, and this would presumably be part of that contract. There are what, 7 football teams in the WAC at the moment? That means ESPN has 3 games to choose from in any given week, at least until the contract is up and they don't have to air any WAC games if they don't want to.

Move over, San Jose State vs. Utah State! The RIVALRY has ARRIV-ALRY'd!
