Hines & Gandy Update

Curious if anyone has seen or heard anything about Shelton Gandy and Conroy Hines? I feel like both are good coaches and could end up at a lot of places. Certainly wish them the very best too!

It's there a national coaches association conference the last weekend or in the next couple of days? I believe a lot of coaches looking for position ie Hines, Grandy, and Deloach will probably be there. I remember when Coach Dickey lost assistance coaches he'd interview and hire coaches out of this coaches conference. Oh, I guess you could add coach Dickey to the list of coaches looking for a job.

If memory serves coach Dickey hired some good talent out of this association meeting. Based on all the staff's that were blown up this year they're must be some pretty good coaches nationally that are looking for employment?

Someone on the board posted coach Deloach's-UNT defensive stats and they were around 76th defense in the nation. Seemed pretty good this year with all our defensive injuries and the attention, or lack of attention Todd D. paid to defensive recruiting last couple of years.

I've always said I'm a coach Deloach homer, so here's to coach Deloach finding a quality job as defensive position coach or defensive coordinators position at collage or pro lever.

Don't you know all the former coaches that weren't retained have to be a little impressed by the increase in assistant coaches pay for their replacements. Another poster posted UNT coaches pay and it list coach Deloach as making $93,000.00 as DC. This figure seemed somewhat low for the responsibility of the position. I bet the new DC isn't working for $93,000.00, or is he?
