I agree...Coach Hedlund has done a great job of "selling" the things UNT has to offer and in building a very solid soccer program at UNT. That is exactly what Coach Dodge and his staff are trying to do with the football program, what JJ has had some success doing with men's basketball, what Coach Stephens is working to accomplish with women's basketball and on and on through softball, volleyball, golf, track, etc.

Overall, the athletic program at UNT is much more solid now, across the board, then I think it has ever been. While football is the dept's "poster child" it is not the only program at UNT. And, when the football program shows positive progress this season...and it will...recruiting local talent and recruiting against some of the "bigger boys and girls" will only get better for UNT.
