North Texas- possibly Les Koenning (OC at A&M), Mike Schultz (OC- TCU), Cutis Modkins – RB’s GA Tech.  Alot of talk about Todd Dodge- SLC HS

Les Koenning runs the option at A&M.

Mike Schultz employs a run heavy offense(62% running) at TCU.

Modkins has coached at TCU, New Mexico, and has been at Ga Tech for 5 years.

No thanks to all three of them.

Let's see, another former UT quarterback in the mix. unsure.gif

All kidding aside, as a former Memorial Mustang, he should automatically be given strong consideration if not offered the job immediately.

(Mr. Mary Lou also fits that description, and he too should be given consideration, especially if he can have the "incompletions count as touchdowns when you need them" rule grandfathered in. laugh.gif )

Yes, but this one's a proven entity at the college level. We'd all welcome this type of hire. He'd be great here. His dad was a high school coaching legend in Houston back in the day, so his roots are deep.

Please, RV, more of this type of candidate, and less of the gamble on those without significant Division I-A experience. We need not only a guy who is expereinced, but a guy who has been around long enough to have well established connection to put together a credible staff of assistants. This guy could do it.
