Soccer and volleyball teams both lose openers. Soccer loses to E. Illinois 0-2 and volleyball team loses to Belmont. Not a good omen.

Fall that up with a loss in soccer to UTEP and another Volleyball loss to go to 0-3. Ouch...who the heck is Belmont?

Belmont is a small private baptist college in Nashville known for its music business programs. Their most "respected" atheltic program is mens basketball. We should not lose to them in anything, even basketball.

I know this because my sister did her undergrad work there.

I know you all don't follow volleyball very much and there hasn't been a lot in the media about this team but we have lost our only Senior to an ACL tear for the season and also didn't have our ONLY upperclass MB available due to an AB strain this past weekend. Belmont is a very good TEAM that only plays one upperclassman. We at times had 3 freshman on the court at once this past weekend. Belmont was 20-7 last year including a trip to the NCAA's. They pushed Memphis to 5 and pushed ARKANSAS more than anyone at the tounament. Our volleyball team has 11 freshman and sophomores on the roster - they some things to learn before turning the corner. Give them time and lets see how they do in conference play!
