Texas Stadium Parking

Recommended Posts

The reasonably priced parking isn't that close to the stadium, but if you want to tailgate, the people are generally friendly out there. I forgot how much it is though. There is good parking right over the overpass from the stadium, but I'm afraid that might be a little expensive. If you don't want as long a walk, then it might be worth it. I don't mind the walking though, it's exercise, which none of us get enough of anyway.

Stay in your seat for halftime because Destiny's Child will perform and my wife's dance students are going to be dancing with them.

Exit Carl Rd. off of 183 and head north. You will deadend in to Northgate. Turn right on Northgate and park for free along the curb. You just have to walk up and over the overpass and enter the stadium on the western side. It's free and about as long a walk as the $12.00 lots.

Thanks for the advice. I'm stoked about the game. This will be my first pro ball game.

The atmosphere will be great as long as it is a good game. Texas Stadium looks like an eyesore from the outside but is pretty cool inside. The overall crowd size and noise will be impressive if you are used to North Texas games.

The biggest drawback is all the TV timeouts. They really slow down the game in person. The other drawback is Rowdy, he sucks.

Great advice Lifer, how safe is that area?

The area is very safe. Many people park over there and walk, so get there somewhat early. It is right by the UD campus. I've done it for years and never had any problem, plus it's easy in and out.
