Is the Chris Gilbert deal done?

I just went to his twitter site and he is still sporting the burnt orange.  Sure hope we are able to close that deal.  Bidding against UT worries the crap out of me as they have unlimited funds at their disposal.

I wouldn’t read much into it.   They still have a bowl game and he’s probably honoring his commitment to UT and will see it through.    Even though he doesn’t have an on-field responsibility, many of those kids are ‘his’ and wants to finish with them.   Respect.

Exactly, UT is not in the business of throwing money away at levels below coordinator.  They know the UT brand opens doors to any high school in the state.  As long as they have a hard worker in the position it won't affect their recruiting in the top 20 every year.   If they want high in the top 10 recruiting that comes from the Head Coach, top Coordinators and winning big games.

this. None of the announced coaches have change any of their twitter stuff. Usually doesnt happen until school announces.
