  1. Man that is identical to mine. Love the gold and green!
  2. Here's my beef. I get that Littrell is fighting for his job and I do believe he thinks Aune is the best chance he has. My problem is what about the future of our program? He is absolutely damaging our future by not giving any of these younger guys who have many years left here a chance to participate. Am I the only one who sees this? I mean Earle could be the next Mason Fine for all we know.
  3. Why did I stay up all last night trying to convince myself we are not very good even though the empirical data - including Aunes stats -says otherwise? God, it’s hard to be a North Texas fan.
  4. He has been hurt and worked his way back to help us and play well this season. It’s time for some others to step up. We need a big game from him and other this Saturday.
  5. Here’s what I don’t get… why can’t we land a coach Samples? I sometimes wonder if Littrell has a clue about recruiting at all! And same for Wren Baker, if he doesn’t look for that recruiting knowledge and capability in the next coaching hire it amounts to dereliction of duty!
  6. I just thought about this last night and honestly had Littrell not had Mason Fine who to my understanding was a Graham Harrell find, what would the last 8 years have really been in terms of building this program and accomplishments? Littrell should be on his hands and knees thanking Fine tor allowing him to be here for as long as he has.
  7. On Sept. 15,2014, then-University of North Texas football coach Dan McCarney addressed the media about a disease few knew about, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, in an effort to draw attention to it with a passion and commitment that was soon to become the norm for thousands of college football coaches and their staff. McCarney began, “For those of you [who] don't know what Duchenne muscular dystrophy is, it is an incurable disease right now, and we got to try [to] find a cure for it. And I've got a young man over in Argyle, Texas, which is pretty cool, right in our backyard; his name's Corbin Fanning. ... He's 10 years old, and he'll be at our practice tomorrow.” As is the custom with all the colleges that participate in the Coach To Cure MD, North Texas made Fanning its honorary captain for a week ahead of the annual final Saturday of September game that has more than 10,000 coaches and their staff wearing Coach To Cure patches on their arms on game day — which this year is Sept. 24. Corbin Fanning, then-North Texas coach Dan McCarney, and Michael Hope. The two boys, stricken with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, were adopted by the Mean Green as team members eight years ago. Courtesy photo It was clear Corbin Fanning and the entire Fanning family had already had a profound impact on McCarney before the then-10-year-old had even joined their team for the week. “He's got more courage than probably all of our football team coaches and players alike, blended together, put together,” said McCarney, his voice faltering. “What he's battling, life expectancy for anyone that has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, the average is about 25 years old. And we hope that by the time he gets before that age, we can find a cure.” McCarney added. read more: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/columnists/as-college-football-has-blossomed-so-has-coach-to-cure-md
  8. Appreciate his candor. Guy does more fundraising than their fundraisers lol.
  9. I know that has been the case in the past but I am hoping this time will be different. Sort of like our “Mean Green Messiah” will part Lake Lewisville and whatnot.
  10. After your post and the kore Inthink about it Ibtuink he may be it. Checks a lot of boxes.
  11. Does anyone know how much money we save by waiting till the end of the season?
  12. This is my wish how we would handle this but it won’t ever happen:
  13. Everyone tried to downplay losing the twins and Dion Novil and that turned out to be disastrous. We have not been recruiting at a high level and everyone knows it
  14. I’m so deeply saddened by all this. Another soldier is down at UNT.
  15. Texas is way, way too good. They beat Alabama if it weren't for the refs. Their only hope is that since they are a sister school for UT that Sark will show some mercy on them.
