This year, in addition to participating in my 4th Swim Across the Sound, I will be running in the ING New York City Marathon on November 4th. My entry was secured through Paul Newman's charity, The Hole in the Wall Gang and and will be running as a member of Team Hole in the Wall http://www.teamholeinthewall.org/

If I understand one tenant of fiscal conservatism, deserving social programs and charities should be funded through the generosity of the populous. There are few more deserving and noble entities than Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang.

Or if you want a smile at the thought that you're donating to 3 1/2 to 4 hours of my physical discomfort, that's cool too.
