Yea, I got questions.

1. What's the deal with the Mean Green march starting almost 15 minutes early?

2. What's the deal with the team wearing all black for the Mean Green march? I remember a lot of DD bashing on this board for having the team come out in all black the last home game of Dickey's career at UNT. After all we all know UNT's colors are green and white.

3. What's the deal with the Eagle Angels all in black? I thought UNT's colors were green and white

3. Did anyone else open their eyes and notice the mass exodus of alum and students out of the stadium at half time?

4. After witnessing the mass exodus at half time, does everyone on this board really believe the students are going to vote for a fee for a new stadium? HAHAHAHAHAHA

5. Do all of you honestly believe Dodge has his best players on the field? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA If he did we wouldn't have taken a good old fashioned butt whipping 2 weeks in a row.

6. After looking at all the scores from the weekend, what team besides possibly FIU do you think UNT is going to beat. Middle Tennesse 24- Maryland 14, Arkansas 28- La. Monroe 27, Fla. Atlanitc 49-UAB 34, Ark. St. 83- Texas So. 10. Rice 42- Memphis 35, Troy and La. Laf. didn't play because of Gustav.

Some good questions:

1. Don't know.

2. I don't know, nor do I understand why we were all black. But then again I ask all last season why our head coach wore a black under armour shirt on the sidelines. Positive note yesturday I noticed the coaches actually had green and white on.

3. I did notice how many people left, but then again they were probably about as shocked as I was the last time Tulsa came to town. Anyone know what the half time score of that game was?

4. I have my doubts about the students passing the vote, but Flyer is pretty certain it will, and he is a lot closer to it than I am. The handouts that they gave had pictures of the stadium on them - are those the newer drawings, or just the same ones? And if they are the same ones, they don't look that much different than the model, unless I didn't pay enough attention to it.

5. Pulling a redshirt off of our future QB to get him in the slot, I guess means he now has his best players out there.

6. Who really knows what games this team will win.

New Question:

1. Do we maybe need to remove and replace some of the offensive coaches? I know the anwer to this question regarding the defensive coaches.

In regards to the black Under Armour apparel worn by members of the football program, here's something to think about:

1) it is included as a 3rd accent color in UNT color schemes

2) it (black) is on the the field

3) There are certain Texas coaches wearing black shirts on the sidelines, Ohio State coaches wearing them, Oklahoma coaches wearing them...there are plenty of more examples of this when the school involved doesn't use black as an accent color.

4) remember 2 years ago when Florida's team showed up at their nationally televised basketball game following their win in the BCS Championship game in black windsuits? Aren't they blue, orange, and white?

Again, these are just points to think about...not trying to say it's right or wrong or whatever. I personally like and think Dodge and his program look very professional in their appearance, but that's just my opinion.

On that note, did anyone pay attention to our 'infirmary' on the sidelines of injured players in black? I would say there were probably 15 or so of them in the black windsuits. That's a ton of injuries!!!

You are correct. He played Baseball at Sam Houston, so he does not have to sit out a transfer year.

I'm sorry, lash me 300 times with a wet noodle.

To the person posting in regards to the APR issue...this is my almost completely uneducated guess, but I think the APR is only hit by players who are on scholarship and leave. That would definitely mean King, Washington and Stbblefield would hit us a point each. I do think if a player stays in school you are not penalized. I'm not sure if Fentriss is still here or not. If he is and is still in good academic standing, then I think we are ok.

According to the NCAA, if a scholarship athlete leaves the program but is academically eligible and stays in school, it counts a point against the APR. If they leave the program due to ineligibilty, it is 2 points. It's about leaving the program.

The rule has changed but when Andrew Smith was called it was 2 points against our APR. Even if Fentriss is still in school, it will count 1 point against the APR. Padron will count against the APR. You are correct when you state scholarship athlete. Rexrode left the program but stayed in school and it counted 1 point against the APR.

You can check it out for yourself on the NCAA website.

Wait... (assuming you meant 'killed' instead of 'called') are you saying that the NCAA essentially penalizes a team when a player is killed?

Sorry for the misspelling. Yes, the NCAA used to penalize a program no matter what the reason was an athlete left including death. That rule was changed several years ago.
