Two North Texas Recruits In Oil Bowl Saturday

Chris Brainard (WR) and Darien Williams (SS/QB) are scheduled to play in Saturday's Oil Bowl game in Wichita Falls. Anybody going to make the game?

I am real interested in Williams. He could really be something special from the reports I have received. God knows we need help at that position.

I was way too into my own team in February to pay too close of attention to national signing day, and I just realized when I was reading DCTF that we signed the Vernon QB. I saw Vernon play Snyder at Shotwell last season, and Williams was very impressive. He did not have amazing stats for that game, but you could tell he was an athlete that translated to the next level. I think this will be a good signing.

I read that Obama has asked the governors of Tx and OK to cancel the "Oil" Bowl. Or, change it to the Saudi Bowl.

A friend of mine was a coach at Vernon last year. He was pretty excited when Williams committed to NT.
