MWC Player of the Year who is following his head coach Danny Sprinkle to Washington. Sprinkle's UW contract is worth $22.1 million with annual salaries growing from $3.2 million in the first year to $4.2 million in the sixth, according to the Seattle Times. (Not including marketing and bonuses) Sprinkle's base salary at USU was $900,000, and his buyout is almost $3 million, per USUStats.com. This was the beginning of players getting paid.
