I was watching the ABC 20/20 for "The Dating Game Killer" about serial killer Rodney Alcala and I noticed in one scene that after the Sheriff's Department in Wyoming requested a DNA sample from a living relative to make a connection to a cold case murder victim, the DNA report that they pulled up was from the UNT Health Science Center. Pleasant surprise. I knew we had a very good genetics program but that was interesting to see. Helped connect the murder to the serial killer.
