Creighton is 5-7, having beaten Boise, Campbell (2x, dang it) and Western Michigan, before taking Sam in the opener today.

I was lucky enough to be part of a nice crowd for NT's home opener before seeing the second half of WBB...what a finish there! Then caught a bit of game two from right field before heading home in prep for the Cowtown HALF tomorrow. Men's baseball took two from SMU, by the way. Men's basketball, women's tennis not so much. but overall a good weekend for NT sports.

Thanks to @meangreensb for the classic rock emphasis during game one today.

Lost to Creighton just now in extra innings. Should have destroyed them, stranded 8 or 9 runners. If your not familiar with tournament play, after 7 innings you start with a runner on 2ns.  The jays got theirs home on a dropped line drive to center field that hit and bounced out of her glove.  

 

Next up..Sam.

Damn...Kelli Scklade...you gotta come see this girl play.  After climbing the ladder to snag an atomic rocket over her head at Shortstop in the bottom of the 3rd...she then cranked her 6th HR over left centerfield to put the mean green up 3-0 in the top of the 4th.  Beautiful swing.  She's seeing the ball as good as anyone right now....and now has extended her hitting streak to 14 games.
