I know and remember he got shot but man I did not know it was 14 times! That is just rediculous. Granted, there is no enough compensation to someone for something like this but I believe the NFL will give him $350,000/year for the rest of his life.

I know, I am about to say something unpopular, but in the ER 99% of these cases aren't random. He likely knows exactly who did this to him, but doesn't want to 'snitch.'

The case that really baffles me is the Darent Williams death. That seemed to be pure and simple gangster thug life... and with the limelight on the case nothing came to the surface.
