Recruiting Budget

The announcers of the Sugar Bowl just mentioned what an amazing job Hawaii does in recruiting considering their budget is $50K per year. They mentioned the budget for Ohio St., Georgia, USC, OU, and Florida is well over $500K per year. Does anyone know our recruiting budget? That really puts things in perspective in terms of trying to compete with "bigger" programs. I know money does not solve all program problems (see SMU) but it sure does help.

Last year we spent $181,841.

This reminds me of one of my favorite Hayden Fry quotes concerning recruiting budgets after he had accepted the coaching job at Iowa. I'm paraphrasing slightly but it went like this... It is better to catch a flight out of Iowa City than it was to hitchhike out of Denton.
