Being beaten soundly can't help.  Reading the synposis made it sound like a pure beatdown.  blink.gif

huh.gif Never got off the bus, played from behind for 88 1/2 minutes. Had we have played this one close I think we might have had a case to make for a bid. This was so ugly both teams had their starters out and emptied the benches for the last 17 minutes of the game. blink.gif 4 goals in less than one hour of play. ph34r.gif And the bad part was that the first three goals were defendable shots, we just did not succeed at defending the goal. I will be real surprised if we see the field again this season in NCAA.

Agreed, no one in conference did well against ranked teams, or big conference teams. Denver had a good week early in year tied Vandy, beat Ole Miss (who was overrated all year), beat Clemson, Nevada LV in OT,but got beat by Colorado too. MTSU lost to Vandy in OT and Tennessee. We lost to Nebraska and USC, tied SMU. Not a real strong showing with the big guys. Think it will hurt us and MTSU for any bid. MTSU schedule was so weak, they should not be too concerned with moving on. We stand a better chance with our non-conf schedule and results. I still think Grambling haunted us all year, relative to standings.

      Smith and Savage Named 1st Team All-AAC

      https://meangreensports.com/news/2024/5/7/softball-smith-savage-named-first-team-all-conference IRVING, Texas – Second baseman Mikayla Smith and right-handed pitcher Skylar Savage were named to the American Athletic Conference All-Conference first team, the league announced on Tuesday. The pair were each awarded their second all-conference selection and first placement on the first team. Smith was named second team All-Conference USA in 2023 while Savage claimed second team All-CUSA honors as a freshman in 2022.

      Women's Golf: Bermuda Run Regional

      The women currently sit in sixth place just past the halfway point of round 2. They are +1 on the tournament and -4 on today, one stroke ahead of Oregon St. and six strokes out of 5th place, currently occupied by MS St. The top 5 teams from each regional advance to the NCAA tournament. I believe the top 5 individuals from teams not advancing also advance, but I could be off on that. Our top player individually is Bouquet Subsomboon who is T13. She has moved up nine sports on the day. Ellie Roth is T17, up five spots on the day. Leaderboard as of 11:45am on 5/7/24
