Didn't we host UVA in the NIT the year after they won the championship or was it two years after?

They won in 2019.  We hosted them in the NIT in 2022

I've been going to home games since 1959 (first grade).  When we were in the Missouri Valley Conference we regularly hosted final four teams from the previous year.

2/25/1961    Cincinnati

2/3/1962      Cincinnati

1/10/1963     Cincinnati (Natl. Champs)

2/8/1964       Cincinnati

3/3/1966       Wichita State

2/10/1970       Drake  We won}

1/27/1973       Louisville  (We won)

2/9/1974         Memphis  (we won)

12/16/1980      Hosted #1 DePaul at the Super Pit (Final Four team two seasons prior)

Dang, it didn't seem that long between their title and NIT game with us. I guess because of Covid there was only one championship between the two mentioned games.

I think I'm thinking of their lacrosse team who won national titles on both sides of the Covid year.
