Adding HS Coaches to Staffs

I know that Morris mentioned it as a possibility. Seems more and more colleges are adding HS coaches in various roles. Arizona's new coach did it also

For "connections". It's so blown out of proportion. But I guess HS coaches are going to continue to to try to rattle the chain link fence in hopes that they one day can be like Bobby here in this scenario. To me, it's very overrated.

It really depends on who you get. There definitely is value if it’s a guy that’s well connected AND and a good coach. Gets you in doors and ears you otherwise may not have.

I’d like to see someone like Jeff Fleener from Forney.   He was the OC during the Allen run of 2012-14.  High energy. Relates to the kids well.  Social media active.  Could possibly be a good add in a WR coach capacity.

Guessing one from the Dallas area, and the other .... East Texas?

This is a major importance these days.  Young coaches are usually going to be more social media savvy.

Asking for your 2cents here…

Would it be better to go get these coaches out of other areas on the state? Like go get one guy from Houston and another from west/east Texas?

im also hoping these guys are premium coaches as well in the HS ranks potentially(🤞)

One was hired last night in Chris Gilbert. He has a ton of ties in the south dallas area.

 

The other one I am hearing will probably come from the Houston area.
