  1. Past hour
  2. If you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin'. Only a fool would be so naïve as to to think NIL has legalized cheating. Every program that's actually trying to win has been skirting (or outright ignoring) rules for decades.
  3. Today
  4. Just wondering...when the team goes to dinner after a game, do the walk-ons have to wait in the bus?

  6. When it's a bona fide scholarship offer, that's what UNT does. Actually, I'm pretty sure they put the entire post together. When it's for a walk-on, the kids usually put their own graphics together.
  7. whatever dude who probably developed tendonitis from only handing-off to LaDainian Tomlinson 50 times a game.
  8. The school is not going to post an offer. This is all on the athlete. At least it didn't say North Texas University. I consider that a win.
  9. The schools that do it right send the kids a graphic or two to post in their announcement... im just sayin
  10. Wow, started playing football at 17. Still learning. GMG
  11. 9 catches for 100 yards and 1 TD last season at Tulsa. https://tulsahurricane.com/sports/football/roster/rempertnick/11084
  12. Info from NT03. Apparently, he scored against us last season.
  13. AScott was great for us defensively, I’m not denying that. However, my issue with him was offensively. We needed him to really step up, but that just wasn’t in his bag. I also thought he went up soft down low. Just my 2 cents
  14. Yeah, that looks like the recruit grabbed those pictures. That’s not coming from the school.
  15. Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think it’s the recruits that build the post. I’m assuming they Google “UNT football” to add pics to their posts.
  16. Just a question about accuracy when we post something on social media. Why does UNT use pictures of coaches that are not with our program anymore?
  17. Aaron was great when he was in a defined role: attack close-outs, catch-and-shoot, and backdoor cuts to go with his hustle points. When we asked him to go one-on-one and expand his game, he struggled. Scott was a winner though, and made some huge plays in huge moments (thinking about Vegas) and if Newell can live up to that, we can have that discussion. In the limited looks we have of Newell, we see he is a little more smooth with the ball. I imagine we will ask him to do the defined-role type stuff but if he looks like he can create his own looks then why not? All that will be evident in summer and fall though.
  18. That was last years roster… We’ve got a lot of new blood ready to prove themselves!
  19. Yesterday
  20. Anyone familiar with David Shipps? Looks like he's a proud UNT grad! https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/college/2024/05/15/ea-sports-college-football-25-nashville-music-soundtrack/72995973007/
  21. It came in my email. I provided the links at the bottom on how to get tickets etc. This seems like a public notice and not meant to only be read on their site. If I am wrong I apologize. Seems like they would want the info on how to get tickets to get out. For more information on UNT men's basketball tickets, contact the Mean Green Ticket Office at 940-565-2527 or at ticketoffice@unt.edu. Fans can visit the UNT Athletics Ticket Office located at Gate 2 of DATCU Stadium between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  22. In Dl basketball the men's limit is 13 scholarships and 15 total players on a team. Women can offer 15 scholarships.
  23. Just so I am clear on board rules, are we now allowed to copy and paste the entire articles from MeanGreenSports.com and not provide the links?
  24. Have no idea. The staff and administration refuse to promote the program.
