Fc Dallas Advances To Conference Championship

Recommended Posts

"Hoops" is the team nickname...although they have recently been trying to move away from it. It comes from the red (home) and blue (away) stripes on their uniform, that go all the way around below the numbers...forming hoops.

Not all teams have mascots attached to their names in soccer. FC Dallas, Manchester United FC, Chelsea FC, etc. have the FC abbreviation and no "mascot." Other do not have the FC in their name at all (mostly American teams)...like Columbus Crew, LA Galaxy, Colorado Rapids, etc. Other have both, like the Seattle Sounders FC.

It would really be nice if they reseeded all the teams after the first round. San Jose and Colorado finished 6th and 5th in the west respectively, and Dallas and LA finished 3rd and 1st respectively. In a fair world, LA would be hosting San Jose, and we would be hosting Colorado. Oh well. :(

LA has never lost a home playoff game. Hopefully we can be the first. Atiba Harris will be back from suspension, and hopefully we get back either Milton Rodriguez or Heath Pearce. Should be a great game.

Was really really tempted to go to LA for the game, but it just wouldn't be fiscally responsible. Need to keep credit card low to pay it off with Xmas money. If you do decide to go, oddly enough you can get there for about half the price by driving to Houston and taking continental. $220 > $420 in this particular scenario.
