Under 4 minute media TO

We missed acouple of front end of 1 and 1's when we were down seven or eight, and the game sorta got away from us there. I'm about ready to call this one. Good game for most of the afternoon but acouple of lapses did us in.

Good analysis... this was a winnable game.... but some lapses and missed shots... I thought JJ didn't do a great job of time management either...

I just got back to my hotel from the game... The crowd was very tame, it was 70% empty. We could have really used tramiel to step it up a bit. He played with heart like he always does, but he just couldnt hit anything from the inside. George looked a step above everyone. I was extremely impressed with the spark mangrum added in the second half. I think we need to see more of him. So far its been a blast though, I am still very glad I made the trip up here. I still think this will be a very good squad the rest of the year. go mean green!

Well Tramster was a hell of a lot better than White.

Most of this game goes on the guards.

Yeah, the short guards were completely shut down. I figured white wouldn't be able to go inside against OSU (even though he tried and failed several times), but I was hoping he and johnson would at least get some outside shots. Give props to OSU defense they were solid the whole game.

We obviously belonged on the court with OSU After the game, Travis Ford was legimatley relieved about the win He called it a quality win. THe OSU announcers said that when the NCAA was looking at the team to make it in the tournament, the win over UNT would count as a quality win. Now, when's the last time you heard someone say that?

A Big 12 split would be real nice but the Aggies will certianly be tough.

I like this UNT team even better than the '07 squad although it's hard to be the heart of Calvin Watson and Ben Bell

I agree. We are truly competitive even with the so called power conferences... very nice change for Mean Green Basketball. A split would be awesome with Texas A&M! Hopefully, we will have it all together by that time... we still have things to work on..

      All of this should happen, ASAP. The mistake you make about comparing 1-aa to G5s today is not true. We gave up in 1982 while the SWC and Big Eight were giants in the CFB world. Between 1981-1995, The SWC/Big Eight had Nebraska, Oklahoma, Colorado, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Kansas State, SMU, Texas, Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Houston have teams that would finish in the Top Ten. Meanwhile, in Denton, we were playing conference games against something called Northeast Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston, McNeese State, and Nicholls State. Literally, whatever little support we had got nuked. Now today, playing schools in the same level of play like SMU, TCU, Baylor, Tulane, Tulsa, Houston, Rice, UTSA, UTEP, and Texas State would bring a lot more eyeballs to North Texas than anything we have ever seen in Denton. And then adding in the idea that we can legitimately play for a title in football, you'll get more interest tan UNT has ever had. If you ever think we should be playing Texas, A&M, OU, etc...in equal standing, you'll be sorely disappointing. Its just not gonna happen. EVER.

      AAC Softball Tournament

      Her previous game.....against Charlotte was a dandy. 6 innings of 1 run ball. Skylar came in, in relief and lost the game in the 7th....2-1. So Mackenzie has pitched well.....very recently.

      Softball Question; Re: Eligibility

      It seems from experience....that most gals in softball.....once they get that degree they move on. Plus....I asked a parent....how many schollies does softball get? Was told it's 16 spread out amongst all the players. So not everyone gets a full ride. That's probably one reason....many move on. Because the extra year of "school" isn't free.

      It’s 100% the Portal and NIL. I watch what happened to the basketball roster in the off season, basically a completely new team. And bigger than that, almost all the significant AAC talent across the league transferred out. That sucks. Not sustainable. I’m at UNT’s Spring Football game and there’s like 55 new names on the roster. Who the hell can get invested in and keep up with all this? That sucks. Not sustainable. At least in the pro game, there are contracts that reward the players AND protect the team. You can plan and roster build based on those protections. Fans can buy in with some level of security. At bare minimum in a forced trade situation the team/organization is getting assets back. This NIL hellscape has none of that and no adults in leadership across the sport to figure this stuff out in a comprehensive, equitable, and sustainable way. The morons who have the power are cooking the golden goose and they don’t even realize it.
