Memphis beat Tulsa (who we also beat) 72-59 in Memphis and 69-52 in Tulsa

Memphis beat Rice (who we also beat) 99-63

So, they basically blew out two teams we were able to pull out wins against.

Against the team we beat for the SBC title, Arky State, they won 86-60.

Of course, on the other hand, they played SMU twice this year (that would be 14 win SMU)

In Memphis it was 88-52 and in Dallas it was much much closer at 64-61

This tells me that this team is highly capable of blowing you out...and occasionally will play a close one against a bad team. We are not a bad team. But their only losses on the season are Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and Arizona. We have our work cut out for us.

Basically, we have to play like there's nothing to lose (there's not), and hope the shots fall and we play enough defense they have an off night. It's a long shot, but stranger things have happened!

All time 15 seeds are 4-84. Roughly that's 4.76%. The odds are definitely long.

Granted 16 seeds are 0-88. So I'll take my chances.

Just to continue, even though I felt Memphs was the weakest 2 seed...there are about 15 teams I think that can win the whole shebang. The Tigers are one of them. They're basically better than us at every position.

That said, all it takes is KD and Watson to get hot& Memphis to have an off shooting day for us to be in it. They'll out athlete us, we have to make up for it in hustle and shooting.
