I’d like to say I’m very upset with my son (who is 9) for not taking the captain of Argyle High School’s cheerleading team to prom last year. I mean, he DIDN’T EVEN TRY!!

I remember a recent thread about who should replace SMU in the AAC when they leave…and some looked down their noses as Texas State as an option. They’re currently up 42-24 at Baylor…maybe we should reserve our disdain until we are capable of beating them??

No, he actually wasn’t the entire time, What he was doing is playing a defense that knew we weren’t running because when he went in we were down 3+ scores. And the one INT he threw his arm was hit as he released it. Rogers may not be the answer, he may ultimately not be all we hoped for…but you damn sure can’t answer that question by judging this game. We were dominated across the board, there were no deep takeaways about quarterbacks to be had.

We have a game tomorrow against the Cal Bears. OUR football team takes the field for the first time this season tomorrow. Can we, for the love of God, talk about North Texas football on this board and at the tailgates today and tomorrow? We can worry about who's leaving to join a conference that won't exist in five years when we actually play them.

Interesting paragraph from that UNT preview: ”New UNT head coach Eric Morris has made a point of letting the press know that he believes the weather will be to the Mean Green’s advantage and sources tell us that even after ESPN and Cal agreed to push the kickoff into the evening, Morris vetoed the idea.” Also, the preview calls Littrell possibly our most successful coach in history. 🙄
