What They Said

"Really a dominant defensive performance. If your defense allows just three points, that's a big-time day for your defense."

--Perry, also Mean Green running backs coach, on Byrd after his big day in Tulsa

--Byrd after his career-best performance Saturday

"It'll be my 21st bowl game. I'm so proud to bring to a bowl this team and our fans. I want our fans to turn out in huge numbers no matter where we go, and let's let the nation know there's something special at North Texas."
--McCarney on his team earning a bowl bid, which is expected to come in the next week
