Williams' pick coming Tuesday

After drawing interest from schools across the country, McKinney rising senior wide receiver T.V. Williams is on the verge of announcing where he will play college football.

Williams is set to make that announcement at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday from the McKinney fieldhouse.

The 5-foot-9, 145-pound speedster (who made a visit to Nebraska last weekend) has been courted by the Cornhuskers as well as teams like California, Houston, Iowa, Kentucky, Navy, North Texas, Oregon State, SMU and Tulsa.

Those teams could increase before Williams makes his selections as he is set to be in Beaverton, Ore. June 30-July 3 for The Opening (a gathering of the top senior football players in the country) at Nike World Headquarters.

The is me venting, but this type of crap really turns me off. Kids think they are Lebron James nowadays. It's completely selfish and shows they're not a team player. I'm not sure I want those types on our team.

LeBron is one of the most amazing athletes to play professional sports in this country from a pure athletic standpoint, but the guy should not be a role model. At least not to the point of emulating this particular phrase.

Kids say "I will be taking my talents to.." all the time in recruiting. It is terrible. Humility never goes out of style.
