Canisius will play neutral site games against North Texas (Dec. 21) and New Orleans (Dec. 23) while also taking on the host Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles Dec. 22.

It's the Southern Miss Christmas Classic Tournment. Canisus's website has North Texas , but that's wrong. It should be North FL

Cansius women's VB team does travel to Denton Sept 5th , so I can see where they may have gotten confused.

Canisius does not have a football team any more but they are still D-1 in BB.

Canisius is Norm Hitzges' Alma Mater. Although they have had a rough time the last few years they have a good BB history. Canisius is 6-4 in the NCAA Tournament with tournament wins over North Carolina State, Villanova and West Virginia.

Canisius is a member of the Metro Atlantic (MAAC) conference (Sienna, Niagra, Marist). Last season the MAAC finished 13th in conference RPI. The Sun Belt was 17th. The MAAC was rated better than the Colonial (George Mason"Final Four", Virginia Commonwealth, Hofstra) and the West Coast (Gonzaga, Santa Clara, St. Mary's).
