(Sorry, but I'm calling "bull$hit" on this. How would he have multiple personalities and no one else no about it? Yeah, I'm calling "bull$hit"....and will tell that to any of Herschel's personalities.):

ATLANTA – Herschel Walker's college coach was surprised to learn the 1982 Heisman Trophy winner will reveal in an upcoming book he has multiple personalities.

"That's all news to me," former Georgia coach Vince Dooley said. "All I know is whatever personality he had when he had the football was the one I liked."

Breaking Free will chronicle the former Dallas Cowboys running back's life with multiple personality disorder, according to Shida Carr, the book's publicist at Simon & Schuster. Walker still lives in Dallas.

Carr said the book will be published in August, but gave no other details and declined to provide excerpts.

"There's some buzz out there and we're letting people know we have this book coming out," Carr told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

In three seasons at Georgia, Walker led the Bulldogs to a 33-3-1 record, three straight Southeastern Conference championships and the 1980 national title. He won the Heisman as a junior, then left school a year early to sign with the now-defunct U.S. Football League.

Walker went onto play in the NFL for the Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

A former Georgia teammate also was caught off guard by Walker's revelation.

"I'm probably one of his closest friends and that's news to me," said Frank Ros, who was captain of Georgia's 1980 national championship team. "I knew he was working on a book but I just thought it was about football. He does 100 things at once and always has projects going on, but that blows me away."

The newspaper said Walker could not be reached for comment.

Multiple personality disorder, also known as dissociative identity disorder, is a rare mental condition in which one person has two or more distinct personalities, according to the Merck Manual of Medical Information.

      It would be foolish to blame the players. They are going to take advantage of the system and would be stupid not to do so. The problem is that NIL is a horrible concept as it relates to fair competition. Your take on the Mavericks is at best very questable. This team is playing and at this point beating the highest ranked Division rival and that stat stuffing ball hogging guard keeps getting a lot of awards from people that are likely to know a little more about the game than us.

      Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe we are down to one scholarship left, and this could be a good get. The tweet is a little misleading, though. The 20.6 PPG number is for the three national tournament games (10, 28, 24). His season average was 14.8, but he put up 25+ in five regular season games. He had some bad games but still shot 49% for the season from 3-point land. His FT percentage could be better for a guard (74.6). Local product from Mesquite and Dallas College. Don't think it takes green Kool-Aid to say we'd be the best option, unless he wants to get away from Texas for a bit. Three of his interested programs are from the Dakotas.

      Though some of my posts may appear that way, I don’t blame the players. The rules say they can get paid, so that’s what they’re going to do. The system is what’s messed up. I wish the NBA and NFL would change the rules. At that point, either go pro and get paid or go to college and get a free education and hopefully get paid later.

      Who was playing QB at your first CFB game?

      Huge disappointment after following the team from my little Central Texas town my senior year of high school. After years of mediocrity I was getting excited to see each W the Mean Green were taking until they #Hit6. Even though the Bulldogs ran up the score late, I was ecstatic getting to see my future school on linear TV keeping up with Georgia, 21-21. I was for sure they'd surprise an underwhelming Texas program to start off my student life. But hey, at least we got to shalack SMU the next week. I think Nicholls was two weeks later, too. Don't get to see your team put up 77 very often.
