How in the HELL do you rank Notre Dame number 23 when they are 0-7 in bowl games over the past 10 years?? They are 0-9 since 1994! Edited by UNTflyer

A couple thoughts I remember from the podcast in which they discussed this (I can't remember which writer put this together, but he was the one interviewed):

-He admitted that ND may be too high. they are where they are because of what they did a few years ago nearly knocking off USC. I got the impression their bowl record brought them down even further from where he would have preferred to have ranked them.

-TCU and Boise State were brought up. The knock on them (of course) is who they play regularly. How high would BSU be if they had lost the Fiesta? Probably not much more than a TCU team that went into Norman a couple years ago and beat OU. A TCU team, btw, he spoke highly of.

-Oh yeah, and the media sploooge over Carroll and USC is obvious.

Not much, I know, but take it for what it's worth.

I try to pay as little time as possible to polls like these myself.
