How in the world do we host a tournament of this stature and not sign any of these kids?

You do realize that other basketball programs need players as well, right? 4 of these guys signed with big, out-of state programs (Utah, Minnesota, Stanford and UCONN)...and if they go there and average 4.3ppg we'll be talking about them again in 2 years when they decide to transfer. Monroe is our only recruiting rival...and they nabbed a 6'1" guard...a dime a dozen. We should be recuriting against Tech...but we look for different style players...especially up front. Losing a player to Sam Houston, UTA or Texas St. doesn't really concern me.

I understand, but this is a golden opportunity to showcase the campus and our facilities to kids from all over the country.

Agreed...just felt you may've been jumping the gun a bit. How did Bonner McDermott of HP look in the Great American Shootout?
