Some history: played at Dallas Hilcrest through his soph year, transferred to Oakridge school in Arlington where he played his Jr. and sr. years. His Jr. year at Oakridge stats: 20.4 ppg, 2.8 steals, 2.7 assists, 5.4 rebounds. Sr. stats: averaged 21 ppg, played FB, Track and BB at Oakridge and had a 3.2 GPA...

Signed with UT San Antonio out of Oakridge, was recruited by SMU, Davidson, New Mexico. Played his Fr. year at UTSan Antonio made 7 of 15 3pts, and 10 of 29 FGA.

Transferred to Mesa CC where he played his Soph year.

TX hoops states was recruited as a combo guard by instinct but is versatile enought to play PG.

I've seen this kid play...my grandson was a starter for Oakridge BB (is now a Fr. at Baylor) McCoy is very quick, can hit from all over the floor.

I don't know what the competition was like, but his shooting percentages make him sound like a real pimp... a few quotes below from the article:

McCoy ranked first on the team and eighth in the ACCAC in points per game with 18.4 each contest......while owning the nation’s 14th best 3-point field goal percentage of 48.7 percent......a fundamentally sound player, McCoy ranked third in the conference last year with an 83.5 free throw percentage, ranked among Mesa’s leaders with a 50.0 field goal percentage.
