Graduate Assistants - How much coaching do they do?

Hopefully someone with knowledge can share some insight. Have seen several teams hiring GAs as position coaches and there are many cases where players have commented how much they had helped coach them.

A lot. They are essentially 4 more positions coaches. Them and analysts are huge is scouting and game planning as well. I think 10 years ago they were used more as extra help. The level of involvement has blown up last 5 years

Thanks. That is what I was thinking that they were, in many cases, additional position coaches. I remembering this past season hearing that several schools had been advised by the NCAA their analysts were getting to involved with the on the field coaching activities.

So when the hc gets fired do the GA get to stay to finish the program, I think I read it was a two year program and sometimes 3?

That NCAA group is on top of things. Sometime in 2028 i'm sure they will look into these tampering allegations.
