Looking forward to the game tuesday. Will one of y'all tell me a little about your team? I like to know about opponents before games.

It's Musselman's first year in Fayetteville. The fan base (thanks to football) is very pumped up about basketball. He's brought in a new culture and a ton of energy. We beat Rice last Tuesday 91-43 in front of 17,000. Should be another good crowd. Led by #1 Isaiah Joe, gonna be in the league next year. SEC record for freshman season 3 pointers made last year, also has good length. Don't give him open looks. #15 Mason Jones can also fill it up. Had 32 against Rice. #3 Desi Sills is the last guy I'd watch. Combo guard that will be all over the floor. We're really undersized but pass well and shoot the 3 well. Rebounding and turnovers are what I'm worried about but they looked pretty clean against Rice. Mine is a bit in depth, but if someone could give me a little rundown I'd appreciate it!

Our team is very small. Our coach loves to run out 4 guards lineups and, more importantly, have as much skill on the court as possible. We start the game with a more traditional lineup of a 6’8” power forward named Deng Geu, a grad transfer from North Dakota State, and our 6’10” big man Zach Simmons. But throughout most of the game we typically only have one player above 6’6” on the court at any time.

Our two primary ballhandlers are Junior Javion Hamlet, a highly rated JUCO transfer who started his career at Buffalo, and Redshirt Sophomore shooting guard Umoja Gibson who was our leading scorer last year. One of the two will be handling the ball at any time, with them sharing the show at times as well, especially at the beginning and end of the game.

We defend well, rebound well despite our size, and play man defense the majority of the game. We rely a lot on the three ball, but only have about 4 solid 3-pt shooting options in Gibson, Junior James Reese (another highly regarded JUCO transfer who starts), Junior Thomas Bell, and Senior DJ Draper.

Ehh thats a bit of a stretch on height. Zach played 28 and Geu played 18. Most of the time not in at the same time. Yes they do sometimes run a 4 guard lineup, but that happened way more last year because we had no depth.

What part was a stretch on height? You saying Geu and Simmons are not usually in at the same time proves my point that we typically only have one player over 6’6” on the court throughout the game.

Oh I read that wrong. I thought you said we usually don't have someone over 6-6. My bad
