  1. I think for the same reasons the Dickey monster never goes away on this board, it will not go away in the DRC. The response to me (by an admin) when I vented similar frustrations about a year ago: until someone else comes in and wins, he [DD] will be there as the coach that led us through our last winning era.
  2. Dunbar resumes 2010 tear, buy DT NEEDS this. A breakout game for our starting QB could do wonders for his confidence and the offense as a whole.
  3. LongJim, can you link me to your source for the figures (tier distribution money)?
  4. Shall I report him to an admin?
  5. I like to think that's what he meant. Also, Brelan's average return is still pretty good, right?
  6. Our new weapon reveals himself. DT to Tony Mitchell for 4 TDs.
  7. Whether now or 5 years from now, I wonder what Cobbs wants to do post-NFL career.
  8. I can elaborate a bit: He couldn't stop building up the speed/tempo of their offense. The comparison between Houston's was made. Also, how it (the up tempo) is the exception to the rule among the Big 10. I don't get to hear the first hour because of my work schedule. Oh well.
  9. New to me. Did the media ever mention this guy?
  10. Time to put the demons of FIU, Houston and 'Bama behind us. IU Roster Link
  11. Might I suggest an organization under the umbrella of the MGC that allows for tiered beer sales? We can call this a "conference", and funnel beer money to our liking. Higher paying members automatically qualify for first dibs. Everyone else has to hope for the best.
  12. Thanks for the perspective. Looking forward, I couldn't help but notice they actually took a 2-game step back from year two (5 wins) to three (3). I certainly hope that we don't take steps back, but it is worth noting that some administrations are sticking to their guns and not panicking when the "5 year plan" doesn't have a smooth curve.
  13. I was thinking the same thing by the end of the night. What a relief, though nothing will be easy going out. I wouldn't go that far. It will be interesting to see how Tulsa recovers without G.J. With a week of preparation, they could be a new animal. We just don't know. It was interesting to see last night on the Tulsa game, the listing of career QB rankings (yards). As good as Kinne is, Paul Johnson is light years ahead of everyone on that list.
  14. I see what you are doing here.
  15. If you get some newcomers, either from JUCO or incoming frosh, that are experiencing an upgrade in competition, what typically transitions smoother: a good defender or a good shooter? I ask this in response to the implication that a Jordan Williams (and the assumed good offense) will get the nod over Franklin's all-around play. I don't know much about what Jordan brings to the table offensively, but I would be skeptical about it being enough to trump Franklin until I see them both in action wearing Mean Green unis. Especially given our current makeup (lack of D1 experience) and needs (defense, hustle). What does JJ traditionally prefer?
  16. Why not McNulty? He brings a dynamic Chico needs, and every team gets their 2 and 3 QBs some playing time over the course of a season. I like DT as our starter, but the gap isn't so wide that we need to be questioning a burned redshirt.
  17. Realistic or not, I wouldn't ever deny a fan a chance for some green koolaide. Why temper enthusiasm?
  18. UNLESS YOU'RE 20. /good trip. bad timing.
  19. Only a select few have the privilege to summon it. I am not one
  20. I'm of the opinion that outside of Denton, any $2 beer is tolerable.
  21. We can now add couch eye-surgeons to our gmg.com repertoire. yaya!
  22. ...um, Favre? Totally guessing. I have a hunch you're thinking of someone that was before Brett (1988).
