  1. Probably the same reason we can't blare music through speakers at said time.
  2. I wish this best for Tyler. If we can get one monster game out of him before he is done...like, out of nowhere, he catches all 14 passes slung his way and goes for 150+/3TDs in a win that secures the Belt title. We can at least use him as a decoy as the bowl opponent keys on the kid.
  3. No one is disputing that. Honest question: who is? Did Osborne play last night? Probably. Or maybe not. Thompson's redshirt was burned on the last series of a season. Andrew is getting snaps every game this season, either as an experiment that hasn't unfolded like we would hope, or as a backup role. It is frustrating to watch right now, but I'm going to chalk this up to the coaches. I'm on a message board, they're on the job.
  4. I wonder if 4 - 5 Belt teams beating AQ teams regularly would benefit us (Belt) more right now than hoping 1 team gets ranked while the rest tank OOC.
  5. I stand corrected. After reviewing the replay, it was D'Leon McCord.
  6. The mics refs were fine by the second half. I just don't understand this: a simple sound check by the refs before kickoff would solve this.
  7. Dwaylan (sp?) lost his shoe on the previous play. He fetched it quick, bent over to put it on and looked up to see IU taking advantage. I don't even know how you address that as a coach. Smart play by IU, or dumb move by Cook?
  8. Our run-ratio was follows: Q1: 18/24 for 75% Q2: 12/19 63.16% Q3: 10/17 58.82% Q4: 8/9 88.89% I can only suspect that if we had converted even one 1st down in the fourth, we would have seen more pass. But that's a chicken-egg argument, I suppose. I kind of like the idea of Dickey Ball in the 4th here: we were sitting on a 4 possession lead, D was playing stout and - except for two blown coverages - had a shutout in hand. I also saw DT over throw Brelan on a couple of deep attempts that could have gone all the way. I wonder if Chico is hoping to see that connection click before relying on it too much. That deep ball is what you need when you are in Dickey Ball mode, and we haven't established it yet.
  9. We did a good job getting to 3rd and shorts. Defense (and crowd) forced IU offense into many many 3rd and longs, including a 3rd and 30.
  10. He's def a barker. He bit his tongue though with Antonio Johnson. 2 painful false starts.
  11. Not every QB is a starter in development. Maybe the coaches see a solid career backup and are trying to figure out his role. Or maybe testing a specific package for him. Hamilton was very effective tonight taking snaps. But he was not a threat to throw the ball.
  12. Maybe I'm by myself, but I don't miss that one bit.
  13. The Green Brigade has suited up in hotter temps. But it's not that big o' deal to me. They sound great in Apogee!
  14. SOmeone mentioned after the Houston game that the issue was not having enough unis to dress everyone. Don't know if that's true or not, but you are right about the weather. It was great tonight.
  15. UNTLifer, just to be clear, this wasn't directed at you. I saw the other thread that were very complimentary of Royce/underclassmen.
  16. We were up 24-0 and all the guy behind me could do was complain about 1) offensive play calling in 2nd half and 2) DTs terrible decision on the pick six for IU's first score. This was all prior to their furious comeback. They said nothing after we secured the win. He looked miserable! Some people just don't want to celebrate anything and want to find crap to whine about.
  17. #23 handled punt returns tonight. Brelan was back their strictly for Kick Offs. Don't know why, but if it means a win, I'll take it. Speaking of Brelan, it looks like DT took a couple of long shots at him that were over thrown. If the passes connected, I venture to guess Chancellor would have taken it all the way. It was nice to see Chico trying to get him involved in the offense (in that regard).
  18. We need to show more offensively, I agree. Well, defense too. But just my humble opinion, I think Indiana's losses (and their win) are a lot more telling of their problems then anything our's say about us. Any tendencies or concerns we showed were interestingly mirrored in nearly every other game our 3 opponents have played. That's not to say that the concerns aren't legit, but I do think it clouds our attempts to identify who UNT is right now.
  19. Nothing I can say would add to the awesome humor in this thread. So here's a random internet picture.
  20. I don't. They're a bball school first and so much further away. But I hope you're right.
