  1. Fair enough. It's def somewhere in the middle. Look at their JUCO record: 199-61! Boise State season wiki Check out the 1968 - 1982 seasons, too. However ya'll want to define/explain it, this didn't start in the 1990s. I think someone, TFLF?, mentioned a while back that they spent years living off academic borderlines. Very similar to what Fresno used to do.
  2. I wouldn't consider Boise the poster boy of a fast riser. They've been winning for, what, 20+ years?
  3. For every fan I know that goes to UNT games, I can find five UNT alumns that have disconnected from the program because of our history. That's been discussed before... What are we talking about when it comes to media coverage: feeding the egos of everyone who shows up, or telling the rest of the people on the fence why they should/shouldn't come? Maybe you think this should be equal opportunity, but no one else does. The media is going to cover what interests the fans. And TCU/SMU are happy to hog as much as they can get. And dont' think for a moment that UTA wouldn't love to start stealing our thunder when their program gets rolling. It's not that I disagree with the notion, it's just that I'm not about to complain or write a letter when 1) we have bigger problems anyways and, 2) it means we hid the elephant in the room from our resident DFW poachers.
  4. As an aside, I love seeing our Mean Green coaches enjoying being Mean Green and supporting the other programs.
  5. I missed most of the show. Did they bring this up at all? What did Coach say?
  6. Did they mentioned teh respective team scores? Let's tell 100K apathetic alumni we lost 48-23 and see if Brelan's yardage gets them all excited to rejoin the bandwagon.
  7. Fewer mental mistakes on defensive back seven. Establish a deep ball threat (gonna be hard this saturday, noted) If Bama stays around 35 points, I'm happy. Still, fight for a win like it's the last game you'll ever play.
  8. I'm going to split this point in half: 1) I thought at least one of the TDs we gave up was broken protection. That is not a Dline thing, nor an ability thing. It is a mistake or miscommunication. 2) Good pass defense starts with QB pressure. plain and simple.
  9. I don't think Manning is in Indy trying to show Marvin how to run his routes.
  10. Awesome! Just so everyone knows, UNT tshirt alumn are exempt from any and all douche labels.
  11. Except for a wanted win, this is about what I can hope for. Looking at the first half performance, is anyone else pretty happen with the G1 to G2 turnaround? I am pretty relieved to see the improvement. There are going to be nitpicks, but overall I still feel good about this staff. Houston revealed what we have known all along: we don't have the depth we need. After two games, is it still realistic to think we can win 4 Belt games, with a 5th win coming in a "swing" game; for example IU?
  12. Brelan is the answer to taking some heat off Lance. I look forward to seeing how Chico uses these guys (and others) to compliment each other. They - especially Lance - need more room to run. Also, until we get a mobile QB that can consistently run the zone read to a T, we need a deep ball threat. DT to Brelan, anyone?
  13. how big [weight] was Wooden when he took us to the NCAA?
  14. Reminds me of a certain someone. "You either double team him, or you hold him..."
  15. Incredible! I haven't seen the second half yet. Gonna watch the ESPN3 replay. I know how the score turned out, but am anxious to see RVs interview and shots of the crowd.
  16. Young O-line, center out for game, etc... ...totally teasing. Awesome that you got to go.
