  1. We've been down this road before. It got kinda rough between Q, JQ, and admins.
  2. Here's a link to the show schedule. Just a hunch, but I imagine once the show is available from the archive, the dates will become a link to the respective recording.
  3. Kram1, you're not crazy. I anticipated not being able to listen live and conjured up a mighty super internet hero message called "email". FYI, You thought right:
  4. Once more tidbit: I think a great barometer of our success has not just been the 20 win seasons, but - what? - 4 or 5 consecutive 20 win seasons. Tasty touched on it a year or two ago, but in a nutshell it was about how ridiculously rare it is for a non-Big 6 team to go on this type of run. And it looks like that run is not going to end anytime soon.
  5. A better debate might be return-on-investment regarding exposure. I would be curious to see any research done on how exposure UNT gets by just being in the 1st round, as opposed to the NO Bowl. While football drives the masses, the masses pick and choose what bowls they are interested in. If you are interested in The Big Dance, even on a casual office-pool-pick'm level, it is hard to miss UNT's name.
  6. Downing really really came on at the end of last year, BTW. Anyone: if you have a chance, watch the KSU game (available on the ESPN3 archives) and tell me he isn't the real deal. Glad to see a guy stepping up like he has.
  7. 3/4 is pretty good. Thoughts on Jackson over McCord? Thoughts on Lincoln listed behind McCoy? You were practically dead-on here. Props. Only 3 starting position to fill. Did you forget we had a TE, cl_, or shall I say Coach Dodge? I don't think anyone could have foreseen what McNulty has done. Lemon cracked the starting lineup. Very hard to ever see a true frosh coming into college and starting in the trenches. I don't think anyone expected that from him. Other than that, we all knew the coaches might shift guys around on the line (for example, Fontenberry) RBs were all pretty much locked up. Where do you think Prior fits in all this? Power is beastly. We all knew that. He could be the best TE we have seen in decades? But he still has to prove it come gameday. We had a great one during the Belt title years.
  8. "This year will be our finest hour."
  9. It is internet-specific. If anything, they stream/archive games played no the ESPN TV networks (ESPN2, etc). The only way you get ESPN3 on TV is to get a audio/video cable to connect the laptop to your TV. I'm sure we can advise you on how to make that happen.
  10. There are 300 teams in D-1 bball, and less than 70 get an invite. There are 117 FBS teams, and half of them go to a bowl. Apples vs. oranges, IMO.
  11. I feel pretty good going into any game with Chico on our side and calling shots. DMac is icing on the cake. Can't wait to see what Bowen does.
  12. It is not uncommon for coaches to bring players in, encouraging them to walk-on. Are you sure he was a signee?
  13. I remember we opened the season against MTSU a few years ago. I think it was the opener following our last Belt title season. Curious: 1) Any reason we do this? Off the top of my head, I don't recall other conferences doing this. My gut is telling me this is happening because it couldn't be arranged any other way. 2) Has there been any other instance of this that did not involve us as one of the teams?
  14. How about everyone in Apogee Stadium's first game ever!
  15. So let me get this straight: they'd be okay in a conference where they can cheat on their own?
  16. You know what else is virtual? SMU's sense of legitimacy in a conference call.
  17. 6 home games = almost exactly a half the cost for a base MGC account. I wonder if you could pay the $60 up front (since you were already planning to come to games anyways) and then prorate the remaining fee into the monthly payments (what would amount to less than $6/month) Also, do Fouts parking payments go to Athletics, or UNT PD?
  18. I think the Green Gang was kicked out for certain practice sessions. I don't think they went out of their way to avoid chats.
  19. Always wanted to go to a Stars game, but my schedule makes it impossible. However, keep me in the loop. Maybe the stars will align...
  20. I really liked this guy when he was in El Paso, but based on everything I've read since then he seems like a complete mess. Sad to see.
  21. Keenum has one of the quickest released I've ever witnessed. He is perfect for Houston's offense. And I don't think I've ever seen bubble screens/passes to the flat done as well as this guy. We got tired of 'm in Denton for reasons that have already been beaten to a pulp. but Houston uses those plays correctly, and executes to perfection. I really really hope he is not at the same level after tearing his ACL. We'll see.
  22. @ $3.5 mil to build, I think this thing better adjust automatically and serve tea and cake on the way.
