  1. You know what he means. In the last 15 years or so, every G5 that got invited to a P5 conference "earned" it with multiple seasons of great success (conference titles, T-25 rankings, NY6 Bowls), while having a supportive fan base. There's a big difference in how TCU, Utah, Houston, UCF, and Cincy got their invites compared to SMU.
  2. Well, the NIT is using it to give out auto-bids, so I think its relevant to this discussion.
  3. Do we wear black too much? Yes. Is this uni combo awesome? Yes.
  4. After last year's disappointing season (by our standards) and not even making the conference tourney this year, I think for the first time Hedlund's seat has gone from Ice Cold to Lukewarm. Miss the tournament again next year and he'll officially be on the hot seat.
  5. The dumbest part of this rule is they can't even play in the Sun Belt Title game. In basketball, teams are still able to play in the conference tourney and be crowned champs, but if they're still in the transition period, the 2nd place team goes to the NCAA tourney. Why can't the same be done in football?
  6. I read the big sticking point is UH put "Houston" on the jerseys. Apparently, using the color scheme AND "Houston" is enough for the NFL to consider it trademark infringement.
  7. 0% since he's already transferred he'd have to sit a year to do it again.
  8. It was Denton’s Day of the Dead festival. I have no idea why UNT would ever schedule HC on the same day. It’s one of the biggest events of the year and not something we should try to compete against. Even with all the rain yesterday, parking was a nightmare. The festival blocks off streets and parking lots. Not ideal when you have thousands of people coming in for Homecoming.
  9. I don’t think some of y’all understand how bad our defensive personnel is. There’s not a DC in the country that could scheme these guys into being a decent defense. We are playing a lot of guys that don’t belong on an FBS roster. I’m not going to call for any coach’s job until I see what we do with a full offseason of recruiting and portal transfers.
  10. He’s better than Fine
  11. Morris is the one who wanted to run a 3-3-5 and made the decision to not retool the defense in the portal. Caponi is just playing the shit hand he was dealt. I don’t think Morris will make the same mistake next year and is why he won’t fire Caponi this season.
  12. Yes. Listen to Chandler Rogers interview with The Green Room. Talks about how ULM doesn't have a real training staff (all graduate assistants) and doesn't provide players meal plans.
  13. I guess, but that is their only advantage. ULM is the definition of a poverty program. La Tech is much better setup to be a viable FBS program long-term.
  14. In what world does ULM have a better setup then La Tech? Are you basing this solely on game results this year? La Tech is light years ahead of ULM in terms of facilities, staffing, and funding.
  15. How many games are going on at 10:30 compared to 2:30? Its not a shock it had better ratings.
  16. I really like the direction the team is headed. That said, I still don't feel confident predicting a win. Memphis- 37 North Texas- 31
  17. They’ve shown solid progress the last 2 games and are no longer a total embarrassment. Isn’t that what you demanded they do? You seem to keep moving the goal line with your expectations.
  18. They’re a definite downgrade from the 2 previous white jerseys.
  19. Not to my knowledge. From the Texas vs Wyoming game earlier this year:
  20. It's dumb they're trying to say these are "icy". There's way too much black. And I hate how the new white unis have black collars around the neck and arms. Should be green or white like previous versions.
  21. Thought the same thing. It's odd the Alumni "NT" which has never been used by athletics and the brand new "Mean Green" script are being included in this "Vintage" collection.
