There's no way my alma mater (Grapevine) will lose to this sorry excuse for a team.

Does anyone really think Ford is more than Dodge's puppet? Firing Ford won't solve our offensive problems. Getting a HC that uses college plays and formations and a QB that can throw the ball down field will.

No ones dening that Coach Dodge is a great man or how good of a leader he is, but the simple fact is he isn't winning...at all. People are worried about brining in a new coach because it will set the program back a few years, but how could it get any worse? I'm sure a quality NCAA football coach could squeeze out some wins with this team while he puts a team togther that suits his system. Lets put an end to this misery!

I can tell you that the students who follow UNT Athletics are very excited about the upcoming season. Only problem is there aren't that many who follow UNT Athletics. And another thing I noticed that troubles me, I have seen zero promotions/ads for the games this week on campus. Usually some signs will be posted around campus, but I haven't seen anything yet. I mean its our best sport, you would think we would try to get as many people as possible to check it out so they know we don't suck at every everything!

You've got to be kidding me...I don't like how our uniforms look like SLC's old uniforms either, but still, they're way better than this garbage!

The "frog skin" helmet and pant design is hideous and the "blood lines" on the helmet are just plain stupid. Honestly, they're just as bad as Oregon's, IMO

They teach it to every student during orientation so obviously the school supports it. I'm sorry I just dont see why it bothers some people so much. Yeah, I understand if some idiot is doing it when something bad happens, but besides that I'm all for it.

Sounds like the guy behind you was just a little too drunk. I dont understand how doing the "caw" is making fun of UNT? A lot of my friends and I do it all the time just as a rallying cry of sorts.

21,345 I don't think people will be turned away from the Ohio and Alabama losses. If anything, I think people were encouraged after the Ohio game because it showed we can compete with a team that is the same caliber as the rest of the Sun Belt. Plus, it being Family Weekend should give a 1000-2000 boost in attendance.

A new jumbotron over the court has to be a top priority for the Super Pit. You can buy better TVs at Wal-Mart compared to the two we have right now!

And losing in OT helped his confidence? I just think you have a better chance of gaining ONE YARD then going into OT with your backup QB and an exhausted defense. If you can't gain one yard to win the game then you don't deserve the W anyways.

I would probably give the coaching a C- for not having the guts to go for it on 4th and 1 from the goal line to win the game. Worked out for Ohio in the OT... Long time reader of the GMG forum and a big fan of everything on the site. I'm currently a junior so I look forward to giving some student perspective on topics because I know there's not a lot of us on the board.
