  1. But you didn't say I was wrong nor refuted the facts. Grow up.

  2. He doesn't get credit for Fine, Harrell does, and he let Bean slip through his fingers because he couldn't develop a QB to save his life. Stop simping for that man.

  5. That was his Dad. Byron II was a DB at Baylor and an honor roll student. Dad didn’t attend one class his last semester at Tech. 🤣😂

  6. I am pretty happy with the players we have landed thus far! I think we are just missing a couple more bigs. Would love to see more size out of the transfer portal and perhaps another point guard.

  7. We have three open spots left to fill. Terrence Dixon, entered the portal on Thursday. https://www.verbalcommits.com/players/terrance-dixon-jr

  10. Uhhh... because unlike AAA affiliates and major league teams, we compete with the money wielding programs. Huge difference

  11. Does the data actually support this? I'm not saying you're wrong, as I haven't yet seen any numbers comparing G5 draftees this year vs. the past. But, just perusing round by round, it feels like I'm seeing plenty of G5, FCS, and occasionally lower levels being represented. Where the G5 might be underrepresented (as compared to past performance) might be the high profile 1st round and maybe 2nd round picks.

  12. The days of getting players drafted are pretty much gone for G5. If you are good enough you transfer and build up your resume. Just another reason I'm losing interest in CFB. I'd be very interested in seeing how many G5 players are drafted annually vs before portal/NIL... oh wait no I just really don't care anymore. 🖕NCAAF

  13. UNT has got to get guys drafted. 2 in the last 20 years despite having 5 different head coaching regimes during that time period isn't good for a D1 Texas school.

  15. I say no names on the uniforms. School name only. Take away their individualism. They are just widgets now anyway. I don't want to know them or anything about them. All are replaceable. That is the system they have created!

  16. Please explain to me how the portal has killed college football for you. Coaches have left schools/players in the lurch for decades. Should a kid that is buried on the depth chart somewhere be forced to stay and waste the best years of his life? How many kids have transferred and then gone on to play in the NFL? People are upset that the players actually have power now. The players who put their own body and potential future health at risk for the enjoyment of a bunch of middle-aged dudes. The players who spend virtually every waking hour in class, practice, training, lifting, running, studying, etc. Its about damn time they've rightfully been given the freedom to go where they want and to be finanially compensated.

  17. From his bio: and had 2 incompletions credited as touchdowns over four seasons

  18. This is the point I think has never been critically consider because of the greed of EVERYONE ELSE besides the players. The old system was never sustainable because the schools had very little invested in the players actually getting the best education available at their schools. If guaranteed 4 year scholarships (with an option after 2 years) were the standard or breakable by the student I don't think we have the madness of today. The other major part is the lack of standardization and revenue sharing for all school playing at a particular level. How do you expect the players or coaches to have any loyalty when the schools have no loyalty to protect the health overall college sports. 🤷🏽‍♂️

  19. Bean lost the starting qb job in HS to Chandler Rogers. Both of them started at UNT and ran out the door to the first P4 offer they could get their hands on.

  21. I read an article recently that stated the University of Nebraska might be expelled from the Big 10 because it doesn't meet AAU criteria. There are only 71 members in this organization with only three being in Texas. Rice, A&M and UT. Tulane and S. Florida are the only AAC schools listed. California has several and membership is by invitation only. With UNT being a Teir One research university, is this something we should strive for? Are we even close to meeting the criteria? Research seems to be the name of the game to attain this status. For those in the know, please educate this minion. Thanks!
