Just two days before National Signing Day, Northwestern's Class of 2014 is finally complete.

Two-star defensive end Xavier Washington of Cedar Hill (Texas) confirmed his commitment to Northwestern via a text message to WildcatReport moments ago. He pledged the Wildcats just one day after returning from an official visit over the weekend.
He followed up that text with the following tweet: "I will be attending northwestern university."

Washington also held offers from Air Force, Houston, Nevada, North Texas, UTSA and Yale. He chose the Wildcats over finalists Houston and North Texas.

2 star my ass. He shouldn't have been a 2 star to begin with. I'm shocked he didn't get bumped up after signing with a P5 school.

  If I'm being completely honest, I don't even really care who turns into commits. I've had a hard time caring about the recruiting cycles in football lately. You get guys, several don't even make it to campus or leave before the fall, and others end up being busts so the hype isn't even worth investing in emotionally. Basketball is more steady, IMO.
