And in other news, UNT defensive coordinator John Skladany was in the office of Denton Ryan defensive coordinator and former UNT assistant Conroy Hines today.

Smart move. Joey Florence and the Ryan Raiders are the unofficial suppliers of defensive linemen to the Big 12 and SEC.

Think I’m kidding?

Here’s a list of a few of the guys who have come through Ryan the last few years: Jarvis Moss (Florida), Mario Edwards (Florida State), Derek Lokey (Texas), Dominique Banks (Baylor), I could go on.

Speaking of recruiting...I'm still wondering why UNT isn't hopping on our QB where I coach. UNM was here a few weeks ago and today the hated SMU came by and I had to help him with video. It was hard but hey what can I do lol.

Call Coach Mac or Chico.

Good idea, and I might just go ahead and send him some video anyway. We are a very small school, so we arent going to be on the radar much. But this kid can play and is a heck of an athlete. His brother plays LB at Rice and this kid still has room to grow as well. Would look great in the slot or DB for UNT.
