I just realized our national tv game tomorrow night wont be getting much national attention. The 2nd presidential debate is tomorrow night at when? 8pm. Just realized that and it bummed me out because i was hoping this was the big chance to showcase our school and im just worried our tv audience has shrunk. Sorry, not trying to be a debbie downer, and ill still be their tomorrow with my green on. Just needed to type it out and vent lol

People still watch the debates? Color me shocked. All they do is lie. What's the point?

You've got it. First, they are not "debates", they are not even semi-intelligent discsussions of the real issues facing us. Anyone who would base their vote on that farce is a blooming idiot. Second, the politicians know that they cannot tell the truth because people would toss both parties out of Washington so fast they wouldn't know what hit them.

Why would a sports fan watch a debate over football ?

Now the Tigers play the Yankees in game 3 tomorrow but Yankess have given up down 0-2.

That's who we are competing with, not the debate

Look, I could care less if we are just the commercial game. It's still good publicity. Debates are irrelevant because they don't even debate anymore, they just interrupt each other and there is no fact-checking until afterward and they are not held accountable.

      Scrap'em is (or was) a thing. I remember in the late 90s there was some sort of Administration decision that "Scrap'em Eagles" would be our official battle cry. Probably only a few people were ever aware of it, but Talons got the memo.

      SB at Charlotte (5/3-5/24)

      It all comes down to this. The softball ladies are a game behind FAU and Charlotte for first place in the conference. The Mean Green already own the tiebreaker 2-1 with FAU, so winning two of three in Charlotte this weekend would also be huge in that it would give the ladies the tiebreaker over both teams in case there is a three-way tie at 19-8. The biggest reason to try to take two of three in Charlotte is that second and third place in the conference is the difference between having to win just two games in two days to make it to the NCAA Tournament, or four games in four days. We can't finish lower than third. Fourth place Tulsa is 3 games behind UNT, and we swept them earlier in the year. Tulsa plays at FAU this weekend. Charlotte will be a tough out. Last year by way of playing one fewer conference game due to a rainout, they finished with one loss fewer than UNT and won the regular season title. However, we took two of three at home to the 49ers before beating them again in the conference tournament. They still made it to the NCAA Tournament as an at-large. This year, Charlotte has taken 2 of 3 at USF and vs. Wichita State while sweeping the likes of UAB and Tulsa, and are on an 11-game win streak overall. Standings going into the final weekend. The conference tournament is May 8-11 in Wichita. If we make it to the final on Saturday at 11 am, be prepared to drop everything and head up to Kansas to support! SCHOOL CONF CPCT. OVERALL PCT.
