Tyler Owens / Staff Writer – This season has been one for the record books for the Mean Green tennis team. Not only has it won six of its last seven matches and is currently 8-4 and 3-0 in conference play but it has also knocked off three ranked opponents this season, including a win over TCU for the first time in school history. No doubt Coach Lama has done a good job bringing the ladies into national rankings, but tapped the breaks on a deep run just yet.

The team still needs a big time signature win over a Top 30 team in order to get a #2 or #3 regional seed otherwise they will be facing a Baylor, Texas, or someone else in the Top 10.

They need a great showing against Tulsa on Friday to ensure they stay in the Top 40 range to gain a higher seed.
